Essays on Paul
The work of C.K. Barrett in the field of the New Testament scholarship needs no introduction. Of these essays, some originally published in rather inaccessible places, seven deal with themes of special importance and difficulty arising out of Paul's dealings with the church of Corinth, one with Romans and one with Galatians. Together they provide insights into some of the most important events in the Apostle's life, and into central aspects of this thought. They also identify significant features of the opposition he had to face, and clear some of the ground for a systematic presentation of Christian origins.
