From 1974 onward, a group of priests, sisters and lay people living in Tunisia have met together to prepare the following documents with the purpose of helping Christians to answer particular questions which, at one time or another, are put to them by Muslims, regarding typical aspects of Christian faith and life. The texts do not intend to provide ready made answers, but rather a basis from which to begin to understand the true meaning of the question. They take into account Muslim mentality and teaching, then present a review of Christian doctrine, especially in the light of present day theology which qw believe may allow more accurate answers to be given to the questions brought forward by Muslims, without ignoring the heritage of tradition, and focus special attention on Arab christian theologians who have had to face the same questions in the past.
