The present booklet of our Secretariat for Non-Christians represents the first part (the general part) of the guide for dialogue, which, on many occasions, has been asked of us by a considerable number of Ordinaries. It deals with concepts and guide-lines which can be applied to a greater or lesser degree to all peoples and to all religions. When they are being translated into local languages, Ordinaries will be able to adopt them to the local needs.
