Evangelization and Culture
The spreading of the Good News is a reconciling activity that brings individuals, communities and nations together. Christians are conscious that this is willed by Christ. In this book, the author argues that if the evangelization of culture is to be taken seriously, it must lead to the model of a culturally polycentric Church, and to a paradigm of mission which is no longer centred on Europe. It must also lead to a 'new evangelization', that is to say, an evangelization which does not dominate or alienate others culturally, as happened frequently in the history of the Church, but one which loves and respects others in their difference.
