Theology of the New Testament (Vol.III): Morality
In the universal unrest and disorder now plaguing the Church and theology, sympathetic reflection on the primitive charter of the New Testament may well be of decisive importance. For faith must justify itself before the world and make God manifest, yes real. The New Testament exhibits, in its primitiveness, an authoritative example of truth in love (Eph. 4:15). Christian existence in the New Testament manner is not however a minutely detailed law given for all time but instruction and example the sense and purpose of which is to be evolved ever anew so as to be realized under new circumstances. For that reason the clarification of its kerygma is as urgent as its relevance to the present hour.
